Temu Black Friday 2026 prices can be very low, but whether they are cheaper than Walmart, Target or SHEIN depends on the item, your order size and how soon you need it. The big sale days are Black Friday on Friday, November 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday on November 30. Temu's promotions usually start weeks before that, so it pays to compare prices and check the rules early.

What happened last Black Friday
Temu started early in 2025. Logistics firm U-Speedex reported that Temu's US Black Friday pre-launch began on October 9, 2025 and ran through November 29, with flash sales and coupon discounts throughout. SHEIN opened a "Black Friday Warm-Up" on October 28, 2025, advertising up to 90% off and new deals weekly through December.
The large US retailers used set event windows instead. Walmart ran two Black Friday Deals events (November 14–16 and November 25–30) with early access for Walmart+ members and up to 60% off top brands. Target began early Black Friday deals on November 6 and offered a Holiday Price Match Guarantee through Christmas Eve, though it matched only Target's own prices, not competitors'.
Across the market, Adobe Analytics counted $11.8 billion in online spending on Black Friday 2025 and a record $14.25 billion on Cyber Monday. Average Cyber Monday discounts peaked at 31% for electronics, 28% for toys and 25% for apparel.
How Temu's holiday sale works
A long sale with rotating deals
Expect a run-up like last year's, starting in October, with lightning deals and coupon bundles that change daily. There is no single doorbuster moment, and a mid-November price may beat the Black Friday price.
App-only codes and new-user offers
Many Temu promotions only work in the app. Of the 24 Temu codes listed on SaverCodes right now, several say "must download Temu app." Examples include 30% off in the app, a free gift, and 50% off with a $100 minimum order. Price adjustments
Temu's price adjustment policy lets you request a refund of the difference if an item's price drops within 30 days of payment. According to Settlemate's August 2026 summary, it excludes items tied to promotions, sold-out items, or shipping and service fees. If you buy early, recheck prices on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Tariffs and de minimis: what changed for US prices
For years, packages worth $800 or less entered the US duty-free under the "de minimis" rule. That ended in stages. Duty-free treatment stopped for goods from China and Hong Kong on May 2, 2025, and for every other country on August 29, 2025. Temu briefly showed "import charges" in April 2025, then moved to US-based sellers shipping from local warehouses, which it said carry no import charges. SHEIN also announced tariff-related price increases in spring 2025.
The Supreme Court struck down tariffs issued under the IEEPA law in February 2026, but that ruling did not bring back de minimis. A presidential order kept the suspension in place, and the Court of International Trade upheld it in August 2026. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed July 4, 2025, ends the exemption permanently on July 1, 2027. In practice, ultra-low prices built on duty-free parcels are less common than before 2025.
Shipping before Christmas
Local-warehouse items and overseas items can have very different delivery estimates, so check the date on each product page and order gifts by early December if you can. Temu has historically offered a credit for late deliveries, but a credit won't get a gift there on time. For last-minute gifts, Walmart or Target pickup is safer.

Quality, returns and buyer protection
Quality varies by seller, so read recent reviews with photos and check sizing charts. According to a September 2026 ConsumerAffairs report, most Temu items can be returned within 90 days. Some electronics have shorter 45- or 60-day windows. The first return on each order is free, and later returns from the same order cost $7.99. You have 14 days to ship an item back after starting a return. Worn clothing and some personal care items can't be returned.
