What happened last Black Friday
Home goods were a big part of the 2025 holiday rush. According to Adobe Analytics, US shoppers spent $11.8 billion online on Black Friday and a record $14.25 billion on Cyber Monday, with $44.2 billion spent from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. Adobe reported that discounts on furniture and appliances peaked at 19% on Cyber Monday, lower than electronics (31%) or toys (28%). Robot and cordless vacuums were among the hot-selling items.
Individual retailers advertised bigger "up to" numbers on select items:
- Wayfair ran its Black Friday sale from November 20 to December 1, 2025, advertising up to 80% off, free shipping on most orders and 24-hour flash deals.
- Home Depot started early savings on November 5, then ran its official Black Friday sale from November 27 (online) to December 3. Stores were closed on Thanksgiving.
- Walmart held two Black Friday events (November 14–16 and November 25–30), with Walmart+ members getting five hours of early access to each. Its preview included a Dyson V12 Detect Slim at $399.99, down from $729.
- Target ran Black Friday week from November 23 to 29, promoting up to 50% off small appliances and floorcare from brands including Dyson, Bissell and Instant Pot.
- Crate & Barrel ran its sale from November 19 to December 3, with up to 60% off select furniture and decor and up to 40% off kitchen brands.
- Pottery Barn offered up to 50% off across furniture, bedding and holiday decor, which Forbes called the brand's biggest sale of the year.

Wayfair

Target and Walmart are where name-brand vacuums and countertop appliances often hit their lowest prices. Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn are the places to buy that sofa or dining table you have been eyeing all year. Both put up their biggest markdowns around Black Friday. Dyson
