Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. The biggest retailers don't wait for the day itself, though: many "Black Friday" prices appear in early November, and some of the best ones are gone before Thanksgiving dinner is over.

How big are Black Friday discounts, really?
Last year gives a good benchmark. According to Adobe Analytics, U.S. shoppers spent $11.8 billion online on Black Friday 2025 and a record $14.25 billion on Cyber Monday 2025, with $44.2 billion across the five days from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday.
Adobe also tracked the deepest average discounts off list price on Cyber Monday 2025:

- Apparel: 25%
- Computers: 23%
- TVs: 22%
- Furniture & appliances: 19%
- Sporting goods: 17%
Use these numbers as a sanity check. If a "Black Friday deal" is only 10% off in a category that usually drops 25%, it's worth waiting or stacking a code on top.
Best Black Friday 2026 deals to watch, by category
Beauty: Sephora and Ulta
Beauty is one of the most competitive Black Friday categories. Ulta's 2025 Black Friday sale offered up to 50% off and ended at midnight on the Saturday after Black Friday, so don't leave beauty for Cyber Monday. Sephora has recently held its member-only savings event for Beauty Insiders in November, before Black Friday itself, so sign up for the free program now.

Fashion and sneakers: Nike, Adidas, Lululemon, SHEIN, Macy's
Adobe's 25% average apparel discount is the floor to expect. Department stores usually go further: Macy's has codes listed at up to 80% off select items. For activewear, watch Nike, Adidas and Lululemon. Lululemon typically adds extra styles to its markdown section over the holiday weekend. On the budget end, SHEIN has codes listed at up to 62% off.

Pets: Chewy and PetMeds
Pet supplies are a smart Black Friday buy because you'll need them anyway. Chewy regularly runs gift-card-with-purchase promotions (for example, a free e-gift card on qualifying orders), and PetMeds has 24 codes listed. Stock up on food, litter and flea & tick meds. See Chewy vs PetMeds.
VPN and software: ExpressVPN and NordVPN
VPN deals are some of the steepest discounts of the year, and they often launch early. In 2025, NordVPN released its Black Friday price weeks ahead of the day: 74% off a two-year plan plus three extra months, valid until December 10. Food and meal kits: HelloFresh
Meal kits discount hard for new customers. HelloFresh has offers listed at up to 65% off, usually on the first box. It's a good time to try one before the holidays.
Everything cheap: Temu
Temu runs its own holiday promotions all season, and many of its codes only work in the app. Read each code's conditions before you reveal it.

7 tips to save more this Black Friday
- Make a list now. Note today's prices so you can tell a real deal from an inflated "was" price.
- Join free loyalty programs (Sephora Beauty Insider, Ulta Beauty Rewards, Nike Membership). Members often get early access.
- Stack a code on top of the sale. Many stores accept a promo code on already-reduced items. Check the store's SaverCodes page first.
- Shop early for gifts that sell out. Popular sizes and colors go first, often on Thanksgiving night.
- Watch for gift-card promotions. "Spend $X, get a $Y gift card" can beat a straight discount if you shop there anyway.
- Check return windows. Many retailers extend holiday returns into January, but not all.
